Madden 25
In this episode, I connect my MBA coursework with real life by exploring netnography through a conversation with my sons, Lucas and Miles. During my marketing class, we studied netnography as a way to understand culture, behavior, and meaning within digital communities. As part of that assignment, I interviewed Lucas and Miles about their interest in Madden 25 and football, using their gaming habits and language as a lens to observe how fandom, identity, and engagement form at an early age.
Through their responses, the episode captures why Madden 25 resonates with them: the fun of playing football, using real player names like Jalen Hurts and Saquon Barkley, choosing favorite teams, and experiencing competition through wins and losses. They talk about confidence, challenge, teamwork, and resilience, both in the game and in football itself. What begins as a class project becomes a meaningful reflection on learning, motivation, and how digital experiences shape the way we understand sports, competition, and personal growth.
